Round Table: Geopolitics: EU - Central and South Americas: A New Balance of Power in a Globalised World
High-ranking members of the European Union and the Americas are meeting in Porto, Portugal, June 27-29, at an event organized by the European Ideas Network (EIN) to discuss an Atlantic project of growth and prosperity.
Dr. Juan José Daboub, The Daboub Partnership Chairman and CEO, is a panelist at the round table "Geopolitics: EU - Central and South Americas: A New Balance of Power in a Globalized World." The chair of the panel is Mario David MEP, Member of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, Chairman of the EP Delegation for relation with the Mashred Countries, Member of the EP Committees on 'Foreign Affairs' and 'Security and Defence'. The guest speaker is José María Aznar, former president of Spain and chairman of FAES Foundation.

On the panel, Dr. Daboub presented his vision about the importance of partnering with the Americas on development projects. The challenges and opportunities were presented, and he highlighted the main issues including security, trade, energy and the environment, and development.
In sum, 380 members of the EU parliament and the prime ministers from Finland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and ministers from 15 European countries participated in the event.
